I have been taking in a lot of great new blogs lately. I am of the opinion the jury is still out about all the twitter bother. I still savour blogs and have over 1000 in my feed reader.

The key part of blogs is that you can find hidden gems, and they are from people that really like to put pen to paper.

Sure you can notice some chill souls on twitter. But, seriously, twitter is for masses with add or who dont like to write longer posts. Yes, heaps of people twitter and also blog, and those people are chill by me, but I am forever and forever a blog fan.

Blogs drive the author to really articluate their judgment. Twitter alternatively merely allows for you to state it. Call me old fashioned but I think there is a point where smaller is no longer sweeter. We have been obsessed with miniturization for so long. Specially when it comes to technology. Surely there has to be a level where we recognise substance counts. Value matters. What do you believe?

Perhaps the actual answer lies in balance. And compromise. You cannot push people to have heart and soul and not be shallow. But, too perhaps you need to push the inward looking hippies to lighten up a little too?
