Positively Catching Worthwhile Dates in Any City

Posted on Tuesday 23 June 2009

Usually, I hate to say it, ’cause its hard to date at my age. Get this, this morning I ate a whole bag of Oreos. During my birthday party of loneliness, surprise! Yeah, I did it. Does that tell you anything? Actually, it’s when I first considered joining a dating service in my new hometown.

No problem. I can mix up my social life with this Dallas dating service. That could do me good. Why do I bring it up? We were at George’s graduation at Oak Park this afternoon, Richard started bothering me if I’ve found the woman I’m going to marry. I just can’t believe that came up. So, I said, “what’s your deal, yo?”

Even Gramps doesn’t know when to quit driving home along the lines of marriage. I leveled to all of them: “Hey look, you would bring that up.”

Guess what? No one knew what I was talking about, as usual. Perturbed, I fell asleep that night so I could clear my head. That didn’t help! Nothing was helping and I needed some damn help. Chuck, who recently moved to Italy suggested that I mingle at singles events by Great Expectations. I said, “That would do the trick.” What a relief. I especially enjoy the singles at Great Expectations Dallas.

Early on, singles events and mixers were a novel thing as I am a simple guy. I was a bit nervous at first, that I noticed I wore mismatched socks by accident. That mess could not put an end to the evening. That night I enjoyed was full of crazy-fun mingling. The gems of the occasion had to be the attractive, single women.

Appearing at these splendid Great Expectations Dallas singles events, I rubbed elbows with a collection of dynamite friends that obviously have similar ideas for how dating should be done. Now I can stop letting everyone give me a hard time about me being single at my age. Surprisingly enough, doing things in Dallas with Great Expectations is my pleasure and just what I’ve been looking for.
