With the first snow flakes falling, many winter enthusiasts start to dream of their next ski vacations and start planning in order to cram as much skiing time as possible during their time off work. Many people prefer to book a vacation in a mountain resort way before the skiing season has started but if you happened to forget, there’s always a solution for you. You can try to look for last minute offers but if those don’t appeal to you, then there are always some travel deals available. As the ski season already started in some areas in the northern hemisphere, more and more resorts offer affordable packages for those who like to spend an active vacation on the slopes. If you don’t know how to ski, fear not for there are ski lessons available in many resorts. Or you can enjoy the snow by having fun tubing or sledding. There are plenty of incredible resorts all over the world. Generally speaking, the budget tends to play the most important role in choose the right slopes for you. For example, Europeans tend to favor the cheap ski destinations in Central-Eastern Europe, such as Austria, Slovakia, Bulgaria or Romania. Americans, on the other hand, instead of paying for a plane ticket to get a cheap ski resort in Europe they like to explore the slopes in Utah, Colorado, California or even in the cold Canada. In general, the ski season in the northern hemisphere starts in mid-November and ends in March or April, but can extend until May in places such as Bulgaria (and thanks to snow cannons, might we add!)
